Yep, there’s no denying my age, and now it’s really starting to scare me. I was hugging my hubby and said, “Oh you smell good.” My hubby doesn’t wear cologne or “foo-foo.” I like a nice smelling man, and by his compliments, I know he prefers when I’ve showered and thrown on a little perfume. My man not wearing cologne has its positives and negatives. Positives, if he’s using it, he’s feeling romantic, or I better look for the other woman; so far it’s been all romance. Negative, he doesn’t always smell that great. But here’s the startling part. As I nestled my head into my hubby’s chest and inhaled the sweet smell of my man while the butterflies begin to turn in my stomach, I said, “You smell goooood.” He replies, “It must be my deodorant. I’m wearing Old Spice.” “What?” My Dad used to wear that, and I think my grandpa too. In a total panic, I ran into the bathroom and yep, Old Spice…Fiji scent. In an instant the romantic and loving feelings I had rushed out of my body. I like the smell of Old Spice? Well, I guess it goes along with my other favorite scents, Vicks Vapor Rub and Icy Hot. Goodbye Azzaro, Hugo Boss, and Cool Water…hello Old Spice. What’s next, fine dining at Denny’s?
